A motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Garfield and North Chancery at approximately 1:15 p.m. today injuring two.

McMinnville Police Department Patrolman Jonathan Davenport says the at-fault driver stated, “I just didn’t see her.”

Allegedly making that statement was Justin Ralph, who was driving a white 2010 Nissan Altima. He pulled from Garfield and into the path of a white 2018 Nissan Altima driven by Wanda Henny. She was traveling in the direction of downtown McMinnville.

“She didn’t even have time to put on her brakes before she hit him,” said Davenport. “She was uninjured, which is surprising. Her front end just crumpled like a milk carton.”

A passenger in the 2010 Nissan was identified as Michael Adcock. Both he and Ralph were transported to Ascension Saint Thomas River Park for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Ralph was cited for failure to yield.

July 13 was a busy day for Davenport. He also worked a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of North Chancery and Donnell streets, just prior to this one. No serious injuries were reported and only minor damage to the vehicles.
