A joint meeting of Warren County’s Budget and Finance and Financial Management will meet at 4:30 p.m. On the agenda: approve change order to installation of Waste Reduction Buildings contract for WC Sanitation, consider additional funding for installation of Waste Reduction Buildings, approve extension of the Clinical Affiliation between TTU and WC Schools, and amend terms of food bid from UCRBG for WC Schools. County meetings are held at the Warren County Administrative Offices Building on Locust Street.
Tuesday, Sept. 1
McMinnville Historic Zoning Commission meeting at 10 a.m. Review of a Certificate of Approval for an awning at 309 W. Morford Street.
McMinnville Board of Zoning Appeals at 11 a.m. On the agenda: review and hearings for an automobile sales at 2491 Sparta Street, three attached single-family structures at Northwood Lane, and an appeal of administrative decision regarding a demo order for 201 Anderson Street.
McMinnville Regional Planning Commission immediately following the Board of Zoning Appeals. On the agenda: approval of Ross Plat (2-lot subdivision in the Planning Region), rezoning request from 503 W. Main Street (R1 Low Density to C1 Central Commercial, zoning amendment update (Special Exception uses in the C2 Zone District), zoning amendment updates (Home Occupations). McMinnville meetings are held on the second floor or city hall.
There will be a special-called meeting of the Warren County Commission at 6:30 p.m. Among the items on the agenda: elect chairman, elect committee appointment, appointment of Financial Management Committee, elected bonds and declare constable position vacant. County meetings are held at the Warren County Administrative Offices Building on Locust Street.

Survey Time Showdown at Smooth Rapids at 7 p.m. This game is a cross between Family Feud and America Says. We surveyed groups of people, and you have to guess what they answered. Hilarious categories and fun questions. Teams compete based on the popularity of their answers. Fast paced, fun to play and fair for everyone. Thursday, Sept. 17
Sexual Assault Support Group, from 6-8 p.m., at Families in Crisis at 101 West Main Street in McMinnville. Come feel at home with other survivors. Receive support, take part in healing activities, increase self-esteem, and learn coping skills to empower you, for wherever you are in your journey.

McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will host a Golf Classic on Sept. 21. $425 per team (lunch, red tee and mulligans included). Prizes for winners, straightest drive contest, and closest to the pin. Sponsorship opportunities available: $425 for teams, $100 tent sponsors, $50 closest to hole, straightest drive, and hole, and sponsor (yard sign size). Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will hold the second annual Tennessee Biodiversity Summit on Oct. 21 at MTSU’s Grand Ballroom in the Student Unions Building. This year’s theme is Moving the Needle: Wins in Conservation and includes a dynamic lineup of speakers and topics. This one-day event is inclusive. Anyone with an interest in the outdoors is invited to attend, including hunters, anglers, birdwatchers, paddle-craft enthusiasts, and backyard gardeners. Additionally, 21 educational booths from top agencies across the state including The Nature Conservancy, State Parks, and more, will be on hand to answer questions and direct attendees towards actionable steps to benefit wildlife. Warren County Recovery Fest 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Freedom Life Church McMinnville. This event is about bringing the community together to celebrate recovery, reduce stigma, connect people with resources, and show that hope and healing is possible. Sponsors are currently being accepted. The church is located at 310 Winding Way.
