Fall Church League softball registration open
Church league sports continue to build momentum in Warren County.
Softball has remained steady under the direction of Rachael Wamsley, who has grown participation enough to successfully offer both spring and fall leagues. At the same time, Holly Palombo recently helped launch a church volleyball league, giving local churches another opportunity for fellowship and competition.
Now, attention turns back to the softball diamond as registration is officially open for the 2026 Warren County Church League Softball fall season.
Teams have until Thursday, Aug. 20, to register. League officials say no late entries will be accepted, making the deadline firm for churches hoping to participate this fall.
Registration packets are available at the front desk of the Milner Recreation Center, and Wamsley is also offering to email registration materials to interested teams.
The spring season concluded with New Union claiming both the men's regular-season and tournament championships. Living Word Fellowship finished runner-up in both.
In the women's division, Centertown United Methodist captured the regular-season title before Rock Island Church of Christ responded by winning the postseason tournament.
Anyone interested in entering a team can pick up registration packets at the Milner Recreation Center during regular business hours or contact Wamsley through Facebook before the Aug. 20 deadline.
