Vendors needed

Organizers of Cruisin’ for the Hawks are seeking vendors for this year’s second annual event.

“We raised almost $3,000 last year,” said Lindsey Adams. “Go big or go home; this year we want to have even more vendors and attract more entries.”

Adams credits some of that last year’s success to offering entries the chance to win a one-of-a-kind trophy.

“We are one of the few car shows that do custom-made trophies. We don’t buy them, and everybody’s trophy looks the same. My husband and his cousin built them last year, and they were made of car parts. We want them to all be unique and something in which the winners can be proud to display. We plan to do that again this year.”

The event, slated for Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is open to cars, trucks and motorcycles. Entries pay the day of the event, a very reasonable price of $20.

Artisans of all types are being sought. If you love to create functional or decorative objects by hand, the cost for setting up at this show is also reasonable: $25.

“If you know of someone, please have them text me at 931-304-1685 or reach out to me on Facebook,” said Adams. “We are full on food trucks, but we still have spaces open for vendors.”

The event is held at Warren County High School. Proceeds benefit students at Hickory Creek Elementary School.
