Sparta Highway, Goodbar Road crash

Charges are pending on a Friday, Aug. 14, crash that injured one.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol Preliminary Report, Stewart Hale, 65, was traveling southbound on Goodbar Road in a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban. He pulled from Goodbar onto Sparta Highway into the path of a 2014 Lexus L57 traveling eastbound on US 70S and driven by Mary Clemans, 44.

Cremans was injured in the crash. Her passenger, David Clemans, 44, was reportedly uninjured, as was Hale.

The trooper noted that charges against Hale are pending the outcome of the investigation.
