Motorcycle vs. vehicle crash

On Friday, Aug. 28, a collision on Beersheba Highway injured one.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report, a 2001 Honda Motorcycle driven by Carmon Harbin, 70, was traveling eastbound on Beersheba Highway. A gray 2000 Toyota Avalon driven by Morgan Southard, 32, was backing out from a private drive at 3372 Beersheba Highway and backed into the path of the motorcyclist. Harbin was injured in the crash.

The collision occurred at 5:27 p.m. By THP procedure, all crash reports must come from THP’s Cookeville office during its regular business hours. Warren County Way received the report on the morning of Monday, Aug. 31.

According to online statements, law enforcement shut down Beersheba Highway from Shellsford Road to Fairview Road as they worked the crash.

The extent of Harbin’s injuries is unknown.
