Money saved with waste management
The city of McMinnville is going with the largest waste and recycling company in North America to dispose of its solid waste.
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen has voted to go with Waste Management this year at a savings of $100,000.
“Waste Management appears to be quite a great partner for the city of McMinnville,” said Public Works Director Lyndon Bussell.
In addition to saving money, Bussell told board members Waste Management will help the city with its recycling program and its transfer station.
Board members were well-satisfied with Waste Management’s services and the financial savings.
