Hixson Holdings, LLC hit with $1,000 fine
Don’t expect the data center drama to cool off anytime soon.
The Warren County Way has learned that on June 4, just a day after the Board of Mayor of Alderman passed an 18-month moratorium on data centers on first read, Hixson Holdings, LLC - owners of the property at 191 Industrial Drive - were issued a $1,000 fine for violation of McMinnville’s Code of Ordinances title 18 and the Clean Water Act.
“It has been determined that the property located at 191 Industrial Dr. in McMinnville, TN is in violation of the City of McMinnville's Code of Ordinances title 18 and the Clean Water Act through the introduction of pollutants into the environment. We completed a site visit and inspection which resulted in clear evidence of illegal discharge,” stated a letter sent to Hixson Holdings by Wayne Boyd, Pretreatment Co-Ordinator, Wastewater Plant Manager and co-signed by Ricky Morton, Water and Wastewater Director of the City of McMinnville.
The letter went on to state, “According to our municipal code we are required to issue a $1,000 fine and an administrative order. This administrative order will be issued to you within the next thirty days. It is my intention to work with you to resolve this problem in a timely manner. Thank you for your cooperation in resolving this matter.”
Ray Hixson is listed as founder and CEO of Hixson Holdings, LLC on LinkedIn. Ray and Alex Hixson made their only public appearance about the proposed Hixson Data Center on Industrial Drive Monday on Warren First.
