Circuit Court Judge Larry B. Stanley sentenced a man to several years in prison on drug-related charges.

Joshua Thomas Cantrell was handed a six-year sentence in the Tennessee Department of Corrections. He was in court on Wednesday on three charges of selling methamphetamine. The counts, each garnering six years in prison, will run concurrently. He was ordered to pay $2,000 and court costs on each count.

Other cases resolved on a 30-page docket:

Jacob Aaron Brewer was sentenced to an additional five days in jail for failure to appear. He failed to report to jail to begin serving 270 days, a sentence handed down in August for aggravated burglary of a habitation, three counts of forgery and four counts of financial exploitation of elderly or vulnerable person.

Ashley Burgess was sentenced to 30 days and three years on TDOC probation for sale of methamphetamine. She must pay $2,000 and court costs. She was given judicial diversion.

Jason Ray Burks had his probation revoked after failing to meet the terms of community control.

Jessica Renae Fitts was sentenced to 210 days in jail. She was handed 120 days for methamphetamine (possession or casual exchange) and a consecutive sentence of 90 days for violating the terms of her probation. A sentence of 30 days for public intoxication will run concurrently.

Timothy Cole Haley was sentenced to eight years, 364 days furloughed to ARC, for methamphetamine (manufacture, deliver, sell, possession with intent). That time will run concurrently with eight years, 364 days furloughed to ARC, and three years, 364 furloughed to ARC for two counts of methamphetamine (manufacture, deliver, sell, possession with intent). He was ordered to pay $2,000 and court costs for each of the three counts.

Brandon Fate Marcum must serve 120 days for violating the terms of probation.

Amanda Beth Martin was sentenced to time served (104 days) and two years of TDOC probation for possession of schedule II drugs. She must pay $1,000 and court costs.

Keith Preston Russell was sentenced to four years of TDOC probation for vandalism. He must pay $6,620 in restitution. He was handed a concurrent sentence of two years of TDOC probation for vandalism and must pay $1,440 in restitution.

Tiffany Nicole Warner was sentenced to 60 days and two years on probation for contraband in a penal facility. She was handed two concurrent sentences of 30 days for possession of methamphetamine and 30 days for simple possession. She was ordered to pay court costs and fines totaling $1,500.

Jesse Dean Cantrell was sentenced to two days in jail and 11-29 on probation for first offense driving under the influence. He must pay $600 and court costs, conduct 24 hours of community service, attend DUI classes, undergo an alcohol and drug assessment, and his driver’s license is revoked for one year. Cantrell was fined $50 for having an open container and $25 for speeding.

David Lee Chisam was sentenced to eight years, 364 furloughed to ARC, for methamphetamine (manufacture, deliver, sell, possession with intent). He was handed a concurrent sentence of eight years, 364 furloughed to ARC, for methamphetamine (manufacture, deliver, sell, possession with intent). He must pay $2,000 and court cost for each count.

Robert Halter was sentenced to time served and 11-29 on probation for reckless burning. He must pay $49,910 in restitution and is banned from ISHA.

Edward Dwayne Hicks was sentenced to three years TDOC probation for sale of schedule II drugs (hydrocodone). He must pay $2,000 and court costs.

Rickey Lee Johnson was sentenced to 60 days and three years TDOC probation for possession of a schedule II drug. He must pay $2,000 and court costs. He was handed a consecutive sentence of three years TDOC probation for possession of a schedule II drug. He must pay $2,000 and court costs.

John Westley Lamb must serve 10 days for reckless driving. He must pay $50 and court costs.

Craig Carlton Mayes was sentenced to 30 days and six years TDOC probation for possession of schedule II drugs. He must pay $2,000 and court costs. He was handed a concurrent sentence of 30 days and six years TDOC probation for possession of schedule II drugs. He must pay $2,000 and court costs.

Cassi Morton must serve 120 days in jail: she was handed four consecutive sentences of 90 days and three years TDOC probation for contraband into a penal facility, 30 days and 11-29 on probation for simple possession of methamphetamine, 11-29 on probation for possession of legend drug without a prescription, and 11-29 on probation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rickey Glynn Nunley was sentenced to three years TDOC probation for possession of schedule II drugs. He must pay $2,000 and court costs. Running concurrently is a sentenced of three years TDOC probation for possession of schedule II drugs. He must pay $2,000 and court costs. He was given judicial diversion.

Joshua Dale Owen was sentenced to two years on TDOC probation for three counts of exploitation of a minor by electronic means. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims and will be placed on the sex offender registry. Judicial diversion was given.

Travis Ray Gipson had a laundry list of charges resolved this week: On a charge of domestic assault, he was sentenced to 11-29 on probation. That time will run consecutive to 210 days in jail and an eight years TDOC probation sentence for sale of methamphetamine and consecutive to 210 days in jail and an eight years TDOC probation sentence for sale of methamphetamine. Running concurrently will be two days in jail for DUI first offense. Along with driver’s license being revoked for one year and 24 hours of community service, Gipson must pay fines and court costs, undergo a drug and alcohol assessment and take DUI classes.

In the first-degree murder case involving Bobby Ray Graves, a petitioned to have his current legal counsel removed and replaced was denied by Judge Stanley. Graves also stands accused of especially aggravated kidnapping, carjacking and possession of schedule II drugs (fentanyl). His trial date is set for July 2027.
