A man accused of aggravated rape of a child had his bond tripled by Judge Ryan J. Moore on Tuesday.
The bond of Soni Martinez, 45, is now $300,000. His case, which also includes a charge of aggravated sexual battery, was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
According to the warrant, the victim reported that, “the inappropriate touching started happening at the age of 6 and then quickly escalated…” Sexual acts continued until she was approximately 18 years old.
Martinez is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Cases resolved on the Criminal Court Trial Docket:
Deborah Butcher was handed concurrent sentences for two counts of theft of merchandise. She must serve 11-29 on probation, ordered to pay restitution and ordered to stay out of Walmart, among other conditions.
Jennifer Jones was sentenced to 90 days in jail for methamphetamine (possession or casual exchange). She was ordered to pay $750 and court costs. Running consecutively will be 10 days in jail for a capias warrant. She must pay $50 and court costs.
Kelly Allen Lewis was handed four concurrent sentences for possession of drug paraphernalia, offensive touching, simple possession/casual exchange, and methamphetamine. Combined, she must serve 30 days in jail, 11-29 on probation, pay fines totaling $1,150, and court cost.
Preston Manley must serve 10 days and 11-29 on probation for violating a protective order, a condition of his release. He is to have no further contact with the victim and must take all classes and pay court costs.
Alan Garcia Meza was sentenced to 10 days and 11-29 on probation for possession of handgun while under the influence. He must forfeit the handgun, undergo an alcohol and drug assessment, pay a $50 fine and court costs. He was handed a concurrent sentence of 10 days, 11-29 on probation and a $50 fine for public intoxication. For a charge of youth tobacco, smoking hemp and vapor products, he was fined $10.
Zachary Seth Perry was allowed to enter a second chance program for a charge of domestic assault. He must pay $129 and take 12 hours of anger management classes.
Richard Smith was sentenced to 45 days and 11-29 on probation for domestic assault. He must pay a $350 fine, $150 registration fee, $10 monitor fee and pay court costs. As a condition of his probation, he is not allowed to own a firearm.
Sophia Isabelle Tovar was sentenced to six months on probation for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. She must pay court costs and restitution.
Heather Lynn Turner must serve 60 days for violating the terms of her probation.
Brian Webb must serve 30 days and 11-29 on probation for violation of conditional release. He must pay court costs and take all classes.
Chelsey Lynn West was ordered to serve 48 hours and 11-29 on probation for domestic assault. She must pay court costs, take 12 hours of anger management classes, undergo a mental evaluation and alcohol and drug assessment, among other conditions.
Scott Terry was sentenced to 48 hours and 11-29 on probation for domestic assault. He must undergo an alcohol and drug assessment and any follow-ups, pay courts costs and pay a $10 monitor fee, among other conditions.
On the Criminal Court Arraignment Docket, Veronica D. Martin was sentenced to 20 days for two counts of contempt and had her bond revoked. She is to be held without bond.
