County executive race exceeds $20,000

There is a four-way race for Warren County Executive, but only two candidates have spent more than $1,000.

According to Warren County Election Commission records, incumbent Terry Bell is leading the financial pack with $13,753 spent during this election season. Those monies span July 1, 2025, through July 27, 2026, and five financial reporting cycles: a year-end supplemental, first quarter, pre-primary election, second quarter and pre-general election. J.C. Petit has spent $7,293, James Ferrell $313 and Jason McEwen zero.

Year-end reporting (July 1, 2025, through Jan. 15, 2026):

Bell spent $100. He was the only candidate required to report during this cycle.

First quarter reporting (Jan. 16 through March 31):

Bell self-donated $9,500 and spent $8,938; Petit received $1,350 and spent $137; Ferrell received $400 and spent $5; McEwen reported zero donations, expenditures.

Pre-primary reporting (April 1 through April 25):

Bell self-donated $2,000, received donations totaling $4,200. and spent $2,739; Petit received $50 and reported no expenditures; Ferrell spent $15 and reported no donations; McEwen reported zero donations, expenditures.

Second quarter reporting (April 26 through June 30):

Bell received a donation of $150 and spent $1,451; Petit received donations of $7,617 and spent $5,292; Ferrell and McEwen reported zero expenditures, donations.

Pre-general election reporting, July 1 through July 27:

Bell received donations totaling $2,000 and spent $525; Petit spent $1,864 and reported no donations; Ferrell spent $293 and reported no donations; McEwen reported zero donations, expenditures.
