Codes Enforcement Docket coming soon

LISA HOBBS - News Editor

Beginning in October, there will be a special Codes Enforcement Docket to address outstanding citations that seem to have stalled in the court system.

“Since I’ve taken over, we’ve had a little bit of an issue,” said Cole Miller, director of Warren County’s Building & Environmental Codes. “There always seems to be a scheduling conflict between me, Mr. [Robert] Bratcher and [Judge] Ryan Moore. We’re trying to get some of these cases moved through, at least some of the easy ones. Some of the long ones you can’t do anything about.”

The trio have decided to establish a special codes docket to be heard on the first Friday of each month by Warren County General Sessions Judge Ryan J. Moore.

“We are going to start on the first Friday of every month, we will have our own special docket. Thanks to Ryan Moore. Mr. Bratcher tells me that we are starting in October. We will have our own court docket. That way, we can get through some of these cases. They are coming in faster than they’ve ever come. So, we need to change the way we do things.”

The information was provided to Warren County commissioners during Monday night’s session.
