High School Hunks ready to haul junk
Warren County athletes, from left, Luke Simpson, Anden Green, Maddoxx Baker and Christian Munoz have started a summer gig - High School Hunks Hauling Junk.
Most high school students spend their summers at the gym, on vacation or looking for ways to make a little extra spending money. Four Warren County teenagers decided to create their own opportunity.
High School Hunks Hauling Junk officially launched over the weekend, giving Luke Simpson, Anden Green, Maddux Baker and Christian Munoz a chance to earn money while helping people throughout the community.
The group, which formed a close bond through Pioneer basketball, came up with the idea while trying to find a productive way to spend the summer together.
"We were all together and thinking of ways to make some money for this summer, and then we thought about junk removal. It was something we realized we would be able to do and have access to the things needed for it," said Green. "Us four have gotten closer through basketball and really just saw this as a good way to spend our summer together and save up some money. So far, we just completed our first job and are looking for more work opportunities. A few people have reached out to us and we are more than excited to work for them."
The quartet has already adopted a slogan that ties into their basketball roots: "We rebound your junk."
Their business plan is simple. No job is too big or too small.
Whether it's old furniture, unwanted household items, construction debris, estate cleanouts or piles of trash that need to be hauled away, the High School Hunks are ready to help.
The response was immediate after the business launched on Facebook, with several people already reaching out about jobs and the group completing its first project shortly after getting started.
The boys hope the venture will allow them to earn money, gain business experience and provide a valuable service to the community throughout the summer.
