Familiar faces taking new places at Farm Bureau

Ridge Nunley is coming home to Morrison, but that won’t mean Adam Wood will be leaving town.

The two Warren County natives will be stepping into new roles at local Farm Bureau offices as Wood moves from the Morrison location to the McMinnville office on Smithville Highway beginning Dec. 1. Nunley will take over at Morrison, bringing him back to a community that helped shape his life.

For both, the opportunity comes with a familiar priority: serving people they know.

“It really is a blessing to get to talk and help people who are in your community,” Wood said during a recent appearance on the Warren County Sports Authority show.

Wood, a former Pioneer standout who is also known for a lengthy local coaching career that has included stops with Warren County’s high school and middle school programs and now Dibrell’s elementary girls basketball team, sees plenty of similarities between coaching and the insurance business. Both depend on relationships, trust and being available when people need help.

“I see the people at Walmart. I see them at church. You see them at ballgames,” Wood said.

Retirements within the company opened the opportunity for his move to the McMinnville office. Wood said he is grateful for the chance and the people working alongside him, crediting Brittany Jones and Trevor Evans at Morrison in particular for their work alongside him.

“It’s a big responsibility, but I’m honored that I get the chance to do this,” Wood said.

He is also pleased with who will be following him at Morrison.

“Ridge is a really good agent - really good guy, really good family,” Wood said. “The stars aligned and we’re happy. I’m happy that Ridge is the one that gets to fill my shoes out there.”

For Nunley, whose fifth year with Farm Bureau begins in January, the move carries meaning beyond a new office.

“Honestly, it’s the opportunity to come home and serve the community that played such a big role in shaping who I am,” Nunley said. “My wife, Hillary, and I both have family here, so Warren County has always held a special place in our hearts.”

An MTSU graduate, Nunley and Hillary have been married for 12 years and have two young children - Hadley and Hutton. Away from work, he enjoys family time, hunting, golfing, being outdoors and following Tennessee Vols sports.

He is looking forward to being closer to family and building connections with local families and businesses.

“There’s something special about living in a place where people know their neighbors and relationships still matter, and that’s the kind of community I’m excited to come back to and be a part of,” Nunley said.

Those relationships also guide his approach to work. Nunley said accessibility, treating people well and understanding each client’s individual needs will remain central to his service in Warren County.

“My goal is to provide honest advice, dependable service, and build relationships that last for years with the families and businesses I’ll have the honor of serving in Warren County,” Nunley said.

The Morrison Farm Bureau office is located at 6282 Manchester Highway and can be reached at 931-668-7075. Services include home, auto, farm, life and commercial insurance.

Wood said clients who wish to continue working with him can still reach out following his move.

“It’ll just be at a different office starting December 1,” Wood said.
