Friday, July 24

McMinnville Enrichment Center activities: 10 a.m. Sand Art, 10:45 Pass the Hoop, 12:15 p.m. Sign language with Ms. Colleen, 1 p.m. Ballon Tennis, 2 p.m. Mail Time Telephone Game, and 2:45 p.m. Teamwork Activity. The center is located at 225 Garfield Street. Activities are open to men, women and children with special needs and their caregivers.

Tuesday, July 28

McMinnville’s Parks and Recreation Committee will meet at 6:55 p.m. at city hall to consider recommendation to hire The Yonder Mountain String Band to perform at Park Theater. Meetings are held on the second floor.  

McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet for its regular session at 7 p.m. Among the items on the agenda: discuss Sip and Saveur Event, a $46,000 contract with Designsensory, declaring surplus items, and a resolution to accept a Brownfield Redevelopment Area Grant (BRAG) and enter into an agreement with ensafe to provide environmental testing on identified sites. Meetings are held on the second floor of city hall.  

A program by McMinnville Children’s Museum will be held 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Rock Island State Park’s Sand Bar. Hammer Printing Art Workshop. Best for all ages. Explore an eco-friendly art technique that involves hammering fresh flowers (provided by MCM) and leaves onto fabric or paper to release their natural pigments.

Friday, July 31

Rolling Acres will hold its Vacation Bible School “Faith Force – Heroes of Godly Living” from July 31 to Aug. 2. Friday 5:30-8 p.m., Saturday 12-3 p.m., and Sunday at 11 a.m. Everyone welcome. The church is located at 403 Pace Street in McMinnville.

Saturday, Aug. 8

Great Bodies Car Show and Swap Meet is slated for 10 a.m. at Champion Chevrolet. The rain date is Aug. 15. Organizer Blaine Wilcher says the show is for people who love good food and great cars. Proceeds benefit Families in Crisis.

Friday, Aug. 7

A free Community Baby Shower will be held at Warren County Health Department from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is for expectant mothers, new mothers and families. Three Star Mall on Sparta Street.

Community Calendar – Sports

Registration is now open for the McMinnville Fall 2026 Co-Ed Adult Soccer League at the Milner Recreation Center. It will continue through Aug. 9. Fee is $80 per player. All participants will receive a player card. The season will feature seven games played on Saturday nights between August and October, with 25-minute halves.
