Beersheba Towers Renovations progress

A top-to-bottom renovation of Beersheba Tower is heading down the home stretch! It’s great news considering the need for affordable housing in McMinnville.

The $16 million renovation is completely overhauling all 101 units in the five-story facility with an estimated expense of $70,000 per apartment.

According to the vice president of construction, 65 units are complete or are under construction. The renovation is on schedule to be finished at the end of this calendar year.

Units are getting gutted and remodeled. Installed will be all new kitchen appliances, cabinets, countertops and sinks. In the bathroom, everything will be replaced including walk-in shower, sink, vanity and commode.

There will be all-new LED lighting, and vinyl wood-looking flooring. As a bonus, cable TV and wi-fi will be provided at no charge to residents.

Beersheba Tower is classified as Section 8 housing and is available to those who earn less than 60% of the median income in Warren County.

The $16 million renovation will restore Beersheba Tower to like-new condition to preserve the property as quality, affordable rental housing.

Constructed in 1980, Beersheba Tower has 91 one-bedroom units and 10 two-bedroom units. It had a light renovation about 15 years ago. It’s located at 420 E. Main Street.
