Warren County Golf team battled two weather delays Monday at Tullahoma at Lakewood Country Club as the Pioneers and Lady Pioneers competed in the district championship.
The Warren County boys golfers finished as a team, while two Pioneers, Noel Davis and Ryder Hobbs, earned individual qualifications to advance to the Region Tournament. While the whole team shot a 348 on the day and placed fourth.
Davis and Hobbs each put together strong individual performances throughout the district championship, securing their spots in the next round of postseason competition. Hobbs shot an 88 on the day, while Davis shot a 78 on the day.
On the girls’ side, the Lady Pioneers turned in a runner-up finish while shooting a 205, placing second as a team and earning a trip to the Region Tournament as a group.
Gabby Molloy led Warren County individually, finishing as the second medalist, while Lucy Mulligan followed with a fourth-place medalist finish. Their performances helped lead the Lady Pioneers to their second-place team finish and a regional berth.
Despite the interruptions from two separate weather delays, Warren County stayed focused and finished the district championship with some accomplishments to celebrate.
Warren County High School will send Davis and Hobbs to the Region as individual qualifiers on the boys’ side, while the Lady Pioneers will advance as a team after their second-place finish.
