The Warren County golf team teed off on their home course, Tuesday at McMinnville Country Club, competing against Coffee County and Tullahoma. 

Coffee County finished the day with a team score of 326, followed by Tullahoma with a 333, and Warren County with a 351. 

Competing on their home course, The Pioneers battled throughout the round looking to put together consistent scores from the opening tee shot to the final putt. With Coffee County and Tullahoma providing strong competition, Warren County had to stay focused and work to limit mistakes throughout the round. 

Today’s matchup followed Monday’s competition at Willowbrook Golf Course where Warren County faced Coffee County, Lincoln County, and Franklin County. 

Warren County finished Monday’s boys’ competition  with a team score 164. Coffee County led with a team score of 146, while Franklin County and Lincoln County each shot a team score of 161. 

On the girls’ side, Warren County put together a strong round, shooting a 92 as a team, getting by Coffee County while they finished with a team score of 93. Lincoln County finished with a 107.  

After competing on the road Monday, the Pioneers returned home Tuesday looking to build on their performance. The Warren County golf team will travel to Murfreesboro to face Riverdale. It will be the first time the teams meet in about 20 years.
