A woman with a yearning for a McDonald’s brew was scalded by it when she was T-boned pulling out of the parking lot.
McMinnville Patrol Officer Maggi Fann stated that Rhonda Williamson, 62, was driving a Honda Accord as she attempted a left turn out of McDonald’s parking lot and crossed paths with a Chevy Silverado driven by Bobby Bain, 52, as he headed outbound.
“He said he thought he had the yellow light,” said Fann. “An independent, unbiases witness stated that he’s light was red when he drove through it.”
Williamson was transported to Saint Thomas River Park Hospital by Warren County EMS for injuries sustained in the collision, which reportedly included burns to approximately 25 percent of her body from a cup of coffee she had just purchased.
Bain, who was uninjured, was cited for careless driving and no insurance.
The crash occurred at approximately 9 a.m.
