We show up!
FiRST National Bank, FiRST Wealth and WC Way partner on Pioneer broadcasting
In 1978, Troy Sullens started a business and Charles “Chico” Jacobs showed up. From that time forward, First National Bank of Middle Tennessee ("FNBMT or First National Bank or the Bank") has been the bank of the Sullens family and many other families in the community.
Now, as the Warren County Way begins to lay its foundation with Chris Sullens in charge, FNBMT continues to live up to its slogan: “We Show Up!”
FNBMT, as well as FiRST Wealth, within FNBMT , have shown up to be the presenting sponsors of Pioneer athletics on the Upper Cumberland Reporter broadcasts - with the WC Sports Authority on the call - in 2026-27. Their commitment will also ensure the Warren County Way website stays free for all readers.
“They’re one of the biggest reasons everybody will be able to read everything on the Warren County Way for free,” said Sullens. “They’ve stepped up and I want to ask the community to understand who showed up and allowed this all to happen.”
Sullens considers himself one of the many beneficiaries of FNBMT showing up for members of the community and he’s determined to make sure the partnership between the Warren County Way, FNBMT and FiRST Wealth shows the area what happens when people show up for each other.
“What they’ve done, by allowing my father to buy equipment when he was 23, had a five-year-old kid and Powermatic was on strike and he needed work, is allow me to do the same thing with my son. If you look at the Warren County Way website, you’ll notice my son helped develop it,” said Sullens. “To all the people at First National Bank, ‘thank you’ will never do it justice. But you have my word, we will promote you the way you have stepped up for Warren County.”
The partnership was agreed to by Sullens, the new owner of C&S Brokerages and Media Company, and FNBMT and FiRST Wealth. It was all about making sure everybody could show up for Warren County athletics.
“The Bank and FiRST Wealth are looking forward to working with Warren County Way and Warren County Sports Authority to bring extended boys and girls sports coverage to anyone and everyone who wants to follow the Pioneers and Lady Pioneers,” said Pieter van Vuuren, President and CEO of FNBMT. “This community supports its teams like no other community and we feel like making coverage better for our fans is something we can financially help with. Showing up for our communities is important to us.”
Be on the lookout for more announcements about the coverage the Warren County Way will be able to provide, with the help of FNBMT and FiRST Wealth, in the future.
