Soft lockdown causes concern

Warren County High School and Hickory Creek Elementary were both placed on a soft lockdown today.

According to McMinnville Police Chief Nichole Mosley, a situation occurred on Creek Lane and that prompted the schools to go on a soft lockdown temporarily. At no time were students in danger.

During a soft lockdown, access to the school was restricted. However, students were allowed to conduct their normal activities inside.

The lockdown occurred around noontime on Sept. 3.

Concerned parents reached out to Warren County Way and asked if we could obtain information about the situation.
