A Beersheba Highway, Mt. Leo bridge collision injured one.
“The truck was coming down Higginbotham Road and stopped at the stop sign at Higginbotham and Beersheba,” said McMinnville Patrol Officer Brianna Cooke. “He went to turn right. He said he never saw the woman in the wheelchair. She was going up Beersheba Street outbound.”
Driving a 1997 Ford F-150 was Tristan Brewington, 21. In a motorized wheelchair was Tommy Tanner, 31.
“He said he never saw her, but when he turned right, he felt something and he stopped and looked. She was throwing up her arms. She called and said she got hit by a truck. She had a very minor scratch on her leg. It looked like his back tire barely scraped her.”
Tanner was transported to Ascension Saint Thomas River Park by Warren County EMS for treatment. Brewington was uninjured.
Brewington was cited for due care.
The collision occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m.
