One injured in morning wreck

A motor vehicle crash on Highway 70S Bypass this morning disrupted traffic for over an hour.

The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox, identified as 39-year-old Chelsa Cooper, was injured after failing to stop and rearending a semi-truck.

“She stated that there was a glare and it impaired her vision,” said McMinnville Patrol Officer Shawn Green, who added that Cooper was injured in the crash but declined to be transported by Warren County EMS. “A family member came to the scene. I do believe that he took her for medical treatment.”

The truck driver, Danny Hildreth, 55, was driving a Freightliner and hauling a trailer. He was uninjured.

Cooper was cited for due care.

The accident occurred at 8:15 a.m. in the area of Lowe’s.
