Residents have until Thursday, Oct. 29, to cast their votes early. For half the voters of District 5, their Election Day precinct has moved.
According to the Warren County Election Commission, 3,668 voters have taken the opportunity to vote early as of Saturday, Oct. 24.
Daily totals: Oct. 14: 406; Oct. 15: 350; Oct. 16: 352; Oct. 17: 68; Oct. 19: 336; Oct. 20: 462; Oct. 21: 398; Oct. 22: 371; Oct. 23: 442; and Oct. 24: 183.
For those who wait until Election Day, Nov. 3, there will be a slight change. Voting will no longer take place at the Three Star Mall. That precinct, which covers half of District 5, will now be located across the street at the old Warren County Health Department.
“The Election Commission wanted to find them a place to get out of the mall,” said County Executive Terry Bell. “They hope they’ve found a forever home there… in the lobby of the old health department. I do understand part of their problem. We do have a lot of walkers, visitors and everything out at the mall. It’s harder for them to control things.”
Early voting locations and hours: County Administration Building’s Early Voting Room - 201 Locust Street - on all days. During the last seven days of the early voting cycle, there will be two satellite locations: Centertown Community Center - 92 Gilbert Street - and Morrison Ruritan Club - 121 West Maple Street. All location hours: Mondays (11 a.m. - 8 p.m.); Tuesday through Fridays (9 a.m. - 6 p.m.); Saturdays (9 a.m. - 12 noon).
