First National Bank of Middle Tennessee opens Morrison Branch
First National Bank of Middle Tennessee is showing up in Morrison with a sparkling new branch that’s bigger and better.
Monday was the first day of business at a location equipped with the latest in banking technology. The spacious, new building replaces a cramped, outdated facility First National had been using in Morrison.
“There’s a lot of activity going on in the Morrison area, both commercial and residential,” said bank President and CEO Pieter van Vuuren. “The old office wasn’t fulfilling our needs, and it wasn’t conducive to the rebranding we have underway where we want the interior of all our offices to look the same.”
The new office will help First National better serve its customers. An ITM, or Interactive Teller Machine, is located outside to give customers more banking options. The ITM allows customers to speak to an actual teller on a video screen.
Inside, tellers conduct business at pods instead of being on the other side of a counter.
“It’s a much more open, more informal way of doing business,” said van Vuuren. “It’s more inviting.”
The new location features three offices, a conference room, and two waiting areas – all upgrades from the previous location in Morrison.
First National Bank of Middle Tennessee has grown to become one of the most prestigious banks in our region with 165 employees and $950 million in total assets.
The bank has 11 locations – five in Warren County, two in Murfreesboro, one in Woodbury, one in Franklin, one in Shelbyville, and one in Davidson County.
A grand opening celebration for the new branch will be held in the coming weeks.
