On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at approximately 9:24 p.m., deputies with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Crisp Springs Road after receiving a report that a man had been struck by a vehicle.

The victim reported that he discovered five juveniles vandalizing his property by throwing toilet paper, pouring vegetable oil, and spraying silly string throughout his yard. When the victim confronted the individuals, they fled the area in two separate vehicles.

According to the investigation, one of the vehicles turned around and drove back toward the victim. Although he attempted to move out of the vehicle’s path, he was struck sustaining minor injuries. The driver then fled the scene.

Through the investigation, and with the assistance of the McMinnville Police Department, law enforcement officers identified and located all five juveniles involved.

Each of the five juveniles has been charged with Vandalism of Property, and the juvenile who was operating the vehicle that struck the victim has additionally been charged with Aggravated Assault.

The victim also advised deputies that his property has been the target of similar acts of vandalism on multiple occasions over the past several months and believes some of the same juveniles may have been responsible for those incidents. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office will continue investigating those previous reports to determine whether additional charges are warranted.

All five juveniles will appear before the Juvenile Court of Warren County to answer these charges.

Sheriff Jackie D. Matheny, Jr. stated, “What began as an act of juvenile mischief quickly escalated into a serious criminal offense that resulted in an innocent citizen being injured. We appreciate the assistance of the McMinnville Police Department in helping us quickly identifying those responsible and bringing this investigation to a successful conclusion.”
