City of McMinnville: 7:30 a.m. 45th annual Stars & Stripes 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1-Mile Fun Run on Main Street; 8:30 a.m. to noon the Downtown McMinnville celebration kicks off with vendor booths; local entertainment and cheer on the Main Street Bathtub Races; 9:30 a.m. Junior Auxiliary of McMinnville’s annual Yankee Doodle Parade; 10 a.m. Mr. & Miss Stars and Stripes at Park Theater; 5 p.m. food trucks open at Milner Recreation Center and Main Street Live! kicks off at 6 p.m.; 9 p.m. fireworks display.
Midway CIC: 11 a.m. opening ceremony; 11 a.m. concessions open; 11:15 a.m. baby show; 11:30 a.m. horseshoe tournament; 11:30 a.m. flowers and pies entries needed in main building; 12 p.m. music by “Zone Status;” 12:30 p.m. games for kids; 2 p.m. cornhole tournament; 3 p.m. softball games and coaches’ games; 7 p.m. awards; and 10 p.m. fireworks.
Sunday, July 5
Morrison’s Fourth of July activities kick off at 2 p.m. with the opening of concessions, Baby Show from 1-3 p.m., opening ceremonies at 3 p.m., kids games at 3:30 p.m., cake walk at 6 p.m., music entertainment at 6 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m.
Grand Opening of the new church building at Calvary Baptist Church on 610 Myers Lane. A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. A special service will follow at 11 a.m. Dinner provided.

McMinnville Church of God will host a VBS from July 15-18, Rainforest Falls “Exploring the Nature of God” from 6-8:15 p.m. Who: grade pre-K through 12th. Text 931-205-7089 for bus transportation.
Saturday, July 18
Viola Fire Department and Viola Homecoming host its annual Truck and Tractor Pull at 7 p.m. Several MTPA sanctioned classes, as well as a 10,000 Hot Farm Stock Tractors unsanctioned class. Tickets are available at the gate: $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are free.
Coming in August
The fifth annual Autumn Harvest Pageant on Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. Held at Warren County High School, this is a semi-glitz pageant hosted by R&R Pageants.

Families in Crisis Warren County is accepting donations of toiletries, non-perishable food, small toys, reusable water bottles, bags (plastic, paper, or gift bags). Please bring to Warren County Extension Office: 201 Locust Street, Suite 10, McMinnville.
Bobby Ray Detachment #1377 Marine Corps League is looking for active or former Marines, FMF Corpsman, and FMF Chaplains to join us in camaraderie, charity, and community projects. The group helps schools, charities, and Veterans in need. It raises funds through donations, fundraising events, and the generosity of event sponsors. Members meet on the first Thursday of each month in the Magnolia Room of Warren County Administrative Offices building on Locust Street. For more information, contact Les Gray at 931-808-3284.
