Centertown convenience center opening Thursday

Public notice for Centertown Convenience Center

The Centertown Convenience Center will re-open on Thursday, June 4 at regular hours, 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. The compactor that is presently operational will accept household garbage and will eventually be changed to a cardboard compactor when the new Furniture/Household garbage compactor arrives and is installed.

The list of items that will be accepted as of Thursday will be: Household Garbage, Household Furniture, Mattresses, Metal, Aluminum Cans, Newsprint, Glass (no ceramic material), American Thrift Store Donation Box.

When the second compactor is installed, Centertown will take cardboard at that time. Presently, cardboard will go in with the household garbage if you choose not to recycle it. If you do want, to recycle the cardboard, please use one of the other 11 convenience centers.

Normal working hours starting June 4 will be as follows:

Monday - 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Tuesday - 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday - 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Friday - 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday - 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Wednesday and Sunday - Closed
