Bobcat skid steer vs. Freightliner

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report, the incident occurred on Manchester Highway in the area of Bridgestone Drive.

A 2022 Bobcat skid steer was positioned in the paved median of State Route 55, performing road work. The operator was James L. Wilson, 45. At that same time, a 2024 Freightliner hauling a trailer driven by Kelly A. Hillis, 61, was traveling westbound. As the Freightliner passed the Bobcat skid steer, the trailer being towed struck an attachment on the Bobcat skid steer. Both vehicles came to a controlled final rest near the area of impact.

No injuries were noted in the report.
