Warren County Schools Fall Break 

Saturday, Oct. 3 

  • During Saturdays in October, follow George McGlothin, owner of Falcon Rest, as he recounts 37 years of ghostly experiences reported by visitors during an evening tour of the mansion. Is it haunted? You decide. The tour starts at 7 p.m. 

  • Autumn Street Fair will take place on Main Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This annual event is an exciting event put on by Leadership McMinnville. Expect fun, food, fellowship, and lots of great shopping.

  • The 22nd annual Heritage Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 6774 Rocky River Rd in Rock Island. The free family event will feature live music, a cruise-in, wagon and stagecoach rides, blacksmithing, woodcarving, moonshine still and hit-and-miss engine demonstrations, fishing stories, a tribute to veterans and more.   • Rock Island State Park will host a National Butterfly and Hummingbird Day Craft at 2 p.m. at the Nature Center. For more information and to register for the event, visit Rock Island State Park’s website.

  • The Warren County High School Class of 1990 will meet at 8 p.m. at Smooth Rapids. RSVP is required by 8 p.m. on Sept. 25. Please see the event in Facebook events or the old Class of 1990 30th Reunion page for the link to RSVP and pay for tickets. $25 per person, (two maximum, adults only).   

  • 2026 Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser, All proceeds will benefit Live and Let Live (Smithville Homeless Ministry). The tournament will take place at Smithville Golf Course Courts.

  • Cedarwood Pumpkin Patch Fireworks Show at 7:50 p.m. 

Monday, Oct. 5

  • Warren County Democratic Party Monthly Meeting at 6 p.m. Meetings are held at Warren County Administrative Offices Building’s Magnolia Room.

  • Celebrate Recovery at Freedom Life Church, Meal starts at 6 p.m. Childcare and Transportation will be provided. 

  • The Collective Heart of Beautiful Souls Wellness Walk at the Three Star Mall starting at 10 a.m. 

  • Special Needs Story Hour at Magness Library from 4:30-5:30 p.m. 

  • There will be a Warren County Safety Committee and Beer Board meeting at 5 p.m.  Among the items on the agenda are to review reports from the county’s sanitation department, EMS, and EMA. 

Tuesday, Oct. 6

  • McMinnville Safety Committee meeting will be held at 5 p.m. to consider and accept a $105,691 grant awarded by FEMA to the McMinnville Fire Department to fund EMT-Basic certification training for 10 firefighters. 

  • Warren County Economic and Agriculture Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Among the items on the agenda are reports from Industrial Development Board, Agriculture Extension, Fair Board, Airport and Soil Conservation.

  • Warren County Health and Welfare Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Among the items on the agenda are to review Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center’s monthly report and review the monthly report of Warren County Health Department.

  • Adult Children of Alcoholics & Families Support Group at Smartt Assembly of God, Ages 18+, 4-5 p.m. 

Wednesday, Oct. 7

  • The Collective Hearts of Beautiful Souls Wellness Walk at the Three Star Mall starting at 10 a.m.

Thursday, Oct. 8 

  • WC Homeschool Happenings Presents: Ghouls, Giggles and Goodies at The Magness Library. $5 per person, the event starts at 1 p.m.

  • Living Free Group Study at 3 Rivers Baptist Church Rock Island, 6-7 p.m.


    Friday, Oct. 9 

  • The McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for The Hut Firearms, Ammo, and Camo at 11:30 p.m. at 1100 Smithville Hwy, Suite 110.

  • The Collective Heart of Beautiful Souls Wellness Walk at the Three Star Mall, starts at 10 a.m.

  • McMinnville Saddle Club Show at Warren County Fairgrounds, starts at 7 p.m.

  • WC Farmer’s CO-OP Fish Day, from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.

  • McMinnville Electric System Customer Appreciation Day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 10

  • Warren County Sanitation Department will be hosting a free drive-through Recycling Roundup, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Accepted items include electronics, scrap metal, alkaline and rechargeable batteries (tape ends), glass jar/bottles, clean cardboard, clothing/shoes, durable medical equipment, paper shredding, tires (limited), and mattresses (limit 2). Free and open to everyone ($10-$20 suggested TEC donation appreciated). Volunteers are needed to help during the event. 

  • Warren County Recovery Fest 2026 is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Freedom Life Church McMinnville. This event is about bringing the community together to celebrate recovery, reduce stigma, connect people with resources, and show that hope and healing is possible. Sponsors are currently being accepted. The church is located at 310 Winding Way.

  • 2nd Saturday on Main Street, Live Music, Shop, Dine and Enjoy. The event is from 5-8 p.m. 

  • A Celebration of Dottie West at The Park Theater, starting at 7 p.m. The event will include Larry Gatlin, Tess Frizzell, and Bobby Tomberlin. Frizzell is the granddaughter of West. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Park Theater’s website.

  • Cars and Coffee from 8-11 a.m. at the Three Star Mall.

  • Show & Tell Sponsored by Koens Creamery Co., The event will take place at The Three Star Mall Stage, it is also open to all ages and starts at 1 p.m.

  • Recovery Fest at Freedom Life Church, the event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Morrison Speedway $500 All Classes Race, 2138 Smoot Rd in Morrison. 

  • World Migratory Bird Day at Rock Island State Park. If you want to attend, you can meet at the Collins River Trail Parking Area, $10 per person donation. The event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Monday, Oct. 12

  • Warren County Corrections Partnership will meet at 3:30 p.m. Among the items on the agenda are jail population update and discuss any building issues. Meeting is held at Warren County Jail Training Room. 

  • The Tennessee Highway Patrol and McMinnville Police Department will conduct a Child Safety Check in the parking lot of the McMinnville Drivers Testing Center, from 4-6 p.m. This event is part of the 2026 National Faith & Blue Weekend, an initiative that encourages meaningful interactions between law enforcement officers and local residents.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

  • Warren County Highway and Bridge Committee will meet at 4 p.m. to discuss any road projects or issues. The meeting will be held at Warren County Highway Department. 

  • Warren County Economic and Agriculture Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Among the items on the agenda are to review the reports from Industrial Development Board, Agriculture Extension, Fair Board, Airport and Soil Conservation. The meeting will be held at Warren County Administrative Offices Building on Locust Street. 

Wednesday, Oct. 14

  • There will be a Meet and Greet with McMinnville Children’s Museum at 11:30 a.m. The event will take place at Warren County Chamber of Commerce on Court Square in its community room.

Thursday, Oct. 15

  • McMinnville Action To Create Housing (MATCH) will host a Homeless Summit at Park Theater at 6 p.m. One purpose of the event is to share the best practices for effectively ending homelessness. MATCH is dedicated to providing supportive services and rental subsidies to assist 10 individuals in finding homes within the next 12 months. Wednesday, Oct. 21

  • Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will hold the second annual Tennessee Biodiversity Summit. This year’s theme is Moving the Needle: Wins in Conservation and includes a dynamic lineup of speakers and topics. This one-day event is inclusive. Anyone with an interest in the outdoors is invited to attend, including hunters, anglers, birdwatchers, paddle-craft enthusiasts, and backyard gardeners. Additionally, 21 educational booths from top agencies across the state including The Nature Conservancy, State Parks, and more, will be on hand to answer questions and direct attendees towards actionable steps to benefit wildlife. Thursday, Oct. 22

  • There will be a tribute to George Strait, presented by On Fire Concerts, at Park Theater at 7 p.m. The event will feature Howard Decker, who tours nationwide delivering the iconic looks, the sound, the essence, and spirit of George Strait. Friday, Oct. 23

  • Gospel at the Park presented by Young Men United. Features performances from North Hills Church of God of Prophecy & Crown of Jewels. All proceeds benefit Young Men United. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Park Theater’s website.

Friday, Oct. 30

  • There will be a Sobriety Checkpoint on State Route 30 at State Route 127 by Tennessee Highway Patrol.
