Rock Island Partners recognized
The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) has honored Rock Island Partners with the TBR Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Philanthropy, recognizing the company’s generous contributions to the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) McMinnville. Cris Perkins, TBR Associate Vice Chancellor for Strategic Advancement and Athletics, recently presented the award to the organization.
“Rock Island Partners has been an extraordinary partner to TCAT-McMinnville, demonstrating what it truly means to invest in education,” Perkins said. “Through their generosity, they have provided our Truck Driving program with full access to their expansive parking lot, giving our students a safe, realistic environment to develop their skills and confidence. This partnership is invaluable.”
Perkins noted that by providing this space at no cost, Rock Island Partners removed a major barrier to offering high-quality truck driving instruction.
“Their support allows us to prepare students for successful careers in a high-demand, high-wage industry while meeting the workforce needs of regional employers,” Perkins added. “For their unwavering support, outstanding partnership, and commitment to student success, it is my honor to present Rock Island Partners with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Philanthropy.”
