Join ‘Team Toasted ‘Mallow’

Local toddler Colter Alexander is a quarterfinalist in Colossal’s 2026 Baby of the Year Competition.

“This is a nationwide campaign raising funds and awareness for Baby2Baby. His group roster included 45 babies and over 7,000 groups of kids,” stated Emily Alexander, Colter’s mother. “He is officially a part of the top 1 percent to make it this far into the competition and we couldn’t be prouder. The encouragement from family, friends and neighbors has been incredible.”

Baby2Baby provides children living in poverty with diapers, clothing and basic necessities. Over the last 15 years, it has distributed over half a billion critical items to families in need across all 50 states.  

To advance, Colter needs your vote.

“Voting for the Semi-Finalists ends Thursday, Oct. 22, at 9 p.m. In order to advance to the semi-finals, Colter must finish in first place. Everyone can cast one vote free every 24 hours. Donating is entirely optional.”

Emily says supporters are called Team Toasted ’Mallow after Colter’s nickname.

“Colter loves climbing, splashing in the water and keeping up with his two big brothers and now his little hometown cheering section is helping him chase another milestone,” she stated.

If he wins, Colter will receive $25,000, appear in a national ad campaign with The Honest Company, and be celebrated in the pages of Variety Magazine.
