Warren County A&L Fair Special Needs Day is from 10 a.m. to noon.
Thursday, Sept. 17
Warren County Master Gardeners’ Association meets at 6 p.m. During the summer months, June-August, the association meets at the fairgrounds. The remaining months, it meets in the Magnolia Room of Warren County Administrative Building on Locust Street. Anyone who completes the master gardener course can join. Dues are $20 annually. Lonestar takes the main stage at Warren County A&L Fair at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 24
American Legion Post 173 will perform an official flag retirement ceremony starting at 5 p.m. Rock Island State Park, pavilion two. The public is invited to attend. Food and drinks will be provided at no charge.

Cedar Grove Fire Department is gearing up for another good time offering its Haunted Trail. New this year will be a corn maze. Admission is $15 per person, while children ages 5 and under are free. No flashlights or cell phone usage is allowed on the trail. Each paid ticket gets one glow stick. Additional ones cost $1. This event is a fundraiser for the department. The fun begins Oct. 2 and continues every Friday and Saturday, with the final haunt on Nov. 1. Directions: take Sparta Highway, turn right at The Landing (formerly Gribble’s Landing) and follow the signs. For more information, call 931-946-2441 or 931-808-6900.
