3D Printing Store coming to Mall
The magic of 3D printing will soon be coming to Three Star Mall.
John Ward is opening a 3D printing store at our mall called LayerLab3D. Opening day is set for Friday, July 3.
“People like 3D printing because you’re creating something out of nothing,” said John. “You are your own personal manufacturing company.”
If you have a 3D printer at your side, you can make just about anything. If you don’t have a 3D printer, there’s one available at LayerLab3D.
“I will have a print farm where I can print people’s files for them,” said John. “I will also have plenty of filament in stock. There won’t be a need to order filament online. Stop by the store, get your filament, and you can be printing in no time.”
3D printing has gained popularity because it allows users to create physical objects from digital files. John has been involved with 3D printing since 2008.
His store will sell 3D printers, service 3D printers, and sell plenty of filament for 3D printers, including the Bambu Lab line, which is considered the pinnacle. He will also have 3D printed items for sale.
LayerLab3D will have the benefit of first-class printers capable of printing files fast. Where it might take 12 hours to print a typical 3D object, John estimates he can cut that print time nearly in half.
LayerLab3D is located behind the old Hibbett’s store at Three Star Mall. The phone number is (931) 743-7093.
John says he loves the velocity the mall is gaining with three new stores planning to open.
“We’re trying to reinvigorate the mall,” he said. “It’s a nice, air-conditioned place to shop.”
